Burrrrrr!

This morning we woke up to snow! It always seems strange to me that it would snow on the beach. It was all melted by midday. I don't know about all of you, but I'm ready for some sunshine.

As many of you know, we have an abundance of wildlife in the area. Every couple of weeks Ron goes to the spring where our drinking water comes from. We keep the location of the spring a secret. It's quite a distance from the inn and is located on Nature Conservancy land. Our water is as pure as you're ever going to find. This area is an old growth forest and while there, Ron sensed he was being watch. He looked up and staring down at him from only about 20 feet away was a huge great western owl. Those birds are about 2 feet tall. He heard some chirping and looked in another direction to find another one! The chirping he heard must have been the babies and here was the Mom & Dad. They weren't nervous that he was there, just curious. What an amazing place we live!
